Telda in Faroese means computer. But in this (con)text the Faroese noun has been changed into a verb at telda - to compute. Only thing is the grammar is off and in Faroese it sounds like a primitive AI trying to talk badly inflected Faroese, the parallel in English would be something like ‘to computer’ - which doesn’t make sense at all. Of course there is nod to Kraftwerk’s Computer World, but the relation between man and computer has completely changed the last forty years. Back then the computer was something strange almost alien. Today computers are all pervasive in our lives, they are extended parts of our bodies, and we stare into them as if they are going to answer us back, and our brains are in love with them.
